Sweetie Song Fetal Heart Monitor

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant. This is my third pregnancy. As an expectant mother, there is always a worry in the back of my mind that baby is not okay. Although my checkups prove that baby is healthy and growing, there is still always that doubt. This is something I struggled with during every pregnancy I have had. Stressing over things that could possibly happen is not good for me or my babies. I needed something that would put me at ease.


This fetal heart monitor has been my savior. Not to mention just how smitten I am that I can hear my baby's heart beat any time I want. It is so easy to use, and it is just the best first experience.
This heart monitor comes with a manual, batteries, the monitor, and gel. It is very easy to put together. A tip I would suggest is to insert the cord into the bottom of the monitor firmly. It is a bit difficult at first, but not hard to manage. It stays together without issue afterward. There are only three buttons on the front of this: power, display light, and monitor level (1-3). The volume control is located on the side.

Using the monitor is fairly easy. I  applied gel to the wand and placed it on the left side of my stomach, closer to my belly button. It was almost instant that I heard my baby's heart beat. My baby moved around a lot so it was a tasking trying to find his heart again, but this worked every time. The monitor I chose to keep on monitor 1. It shows real time heart beat. Baby's heart averaged anywhere from 128-147 beats which is healthy. The sound quality is not the best, as I had to turn it all the way up. However, for a first time experience, this was not a disappointment and surpassed my expectations. I did receive this as a sample for testing purposes. I would definitely recommend this.

Ozeri 4x3runner Pocket 3D Pedometer

I never thought I would ever be using a pedometer. I use to look at people wearing them and think to myself, "What is the point?".  Now that I am considered morbidly obese I see things in a different light. I am trying really hard to lose weight.

I was given this pedometer as a sample to test at no cost to me for my review. I can see why it is so popular. There are so many features to this. It is amazing. I really never saw myself glorifying a pedometer in my lifetime, but here I am. It is amazing just how much one person can walk in a day without realizing just how long they are moving and how many calories they are burning.

Some key features that are great:
- Calorie Counter

This is awesome. I have not ever counted calories or calculated how many I have used before now. This calorie counter on the pedometer tells me how many I have burnt in my day of walking and/or jogging.

-Step Counting Goals

I need to set goals for myself. I am starting out with easy attainable goals so that I can find more motivation to strive for more. This pedometer allows you to set whatever goal you want. It tracks my goals with a percentage on the main screen. I shoot for 20,000. Easy goal right? I can also convert those steps into miles as well.

- 30 Day Memory

It is nice to be able to see what kind of progress I've made in the 30 days. I have not been using this pedometer that long, but want to be able to make a chart for myself. (Celebration purposes- Don't we all need them?)

- Personalization and Programmable

I can personalize this pedometer to my exact measurements. I have programmed it to my exact height and weight. I have also programmed my stride. It is now just for me and my use.

- Tri Axis Motion Sensor

I can place this pedometer literally anywhere on my body. It will still give me accurate results. It comes with a clip or a lanyard type loop with a clip on the end of it. I find it easy to use either clip. I have also just thrown it in my pocket because I am a klutz and lose things easily. It is fairly small so easy to store just about anywhere.

Some other quick features include auto sleep, date and time, and clock. These are features that are great to have as well, just not much to talk about. Oh and it is water resistant! Perfect for those walks in the Spring rain for me! I will continue to use this pedometer as it is one of the keys to my weight loss success. Of course this is my first pedometer so I cannot compare it to others. 

I suggest if you do decide to own this bad boy, that you read the ENTIRE manual on it. It is not very big but informative. I did not know what to do without reading them.  If you want to find out more, check it out here:

Country Crock butter, it's what's for dessert!

Now I don't literally mean that butter is all we are eating for dessert. However butter is one of the ingredients, and I couldn't have picked a better brand. We have always used Country Crock since I was a little girl. It has always been consistent in flavor and creaminess.

I was sent a coupon for a free product (Tub of Country Crock) for testing purposes in exchange for a review. How awesome is that?! Giving a big thanks to the sender, Influenster! Now I wanted to be creative with what I made. Regular chocolate chip cookies is what everyone makes all the time. So I decided to put my own spin on it. Dare to be different right?

Country Crock butter isn't the only star of this review though.

So here's what I decided to make:
Blue Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cookies!

They were SO delicious!
I simply added some blue food coloring and blue raspberry flavored bits into the batter. I mean the chocolate chip cookie recipe is tried and true. No messing with perfection! They were super easy to make, and made the whole house smell like raspberries. They tasted great with all their buttery goodness. The raspberry flavor in the cookie wasn't overpowering but just right.

  In aspect of the Country Crock, here are the highlights of this product:
Country Crock is a healthier alternative to butter.

-Butter has about 7 grams of saturated fat per teaspoon, while Country Crock only has 1.5 grams. Saturated fat raises blood cholesterol levels and may increase the risk of heart disease.

- Butter contains cholesterol. Country Crock does not.

- The main concern with margarine is that it can contain trans fat. Classic Country Crock is trans-fat free. This means there is less than 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving. Butter has no trans fat.

 A healthier more delicious choice! There you have it folks!

Pure K9 Dog Seatbelt and Harness Combo

A safe and comfortable dog harness for Blue!

We decided to adopt a dog a while ago. She is a great addition to our family. Her name is Blue, and she is a boxer bulldog mix. Blue is a very lovable and devoted fur companion. Even though she is a bigger dog, she rather thinks of herself as a lap dog. At times, she does get hyper when meeting new people and likes to jump. Walking her can sometimes be somewhat of a struggle when new people pass by.

A regular leash hooked on her collar does not help. I feel like I am strangling her. So we were given the opportunity to try out this dog harness. AND it comes with a safety belt for the car! I may have felt a little embarrassed when I checked with the seller because it did not come with directions. I did not feel like I was putting it on her right. Low and behold I was not! Make sure that the metal loop is on your dog's back, NOT underneath. Haha!

The harness is lovely. It is made of airmesh material so it is light and comfortable on our pup. The harness itself was ordered in size XXL (Blue is 4 years old and 70 pounds). We got the color blue since her name is Blue. There are also 3 other colors to choose from (Pink, Black, and Red) as well as 4 other sizes (S, M, L, and  XL).

Definitely make sure you measure your furry friend before ordering. It fits Blue nicely. I like that the strap that goes around her midsection is adjustable. She tends to bloat when she is in heat and will need it loosened. It is unbelievable easier to restrain her with this harness. This strap is also made of Nylon, so it will last longer than most other leashes and harnesses. I also feel better about it due to the fact there is more than one point of contact rather than just her neck with the leash and collar. It has held up very nicely through all her walks and play time. At times it will ride up a little, but only due to the fact that we make sure it is not tight. (Two fingers is tight enough, just like you would a toddler's car seat restraints!)

Now onto the nifty seat belt! This little gadget is genius. Although we do not use it much, it will come in handy when we need it to. Basically what it does is clip onto the harness, and the other end clips into the seat belt buckle. If you have a pup like our Blue, you WILL need this on car rides. As I mentioned before she thinks she is a lap dog and that does NOT exclude the car. Although I love that she is so lovable, I think this kind of behavior in the car could be hazardous to us all. The seat belt is adjustable, and I definitely appreciate that (so does Blue!). I can adjust how far she can reach from the seat. The seat belt is made of bamboo fiber so it is strong and durable. I am sure it will last us a lifetime.

(SIDE NOTE: I have also used the seat belt as a leash extender. I just clip my leash to the buckle end. It works amazingly that way as well!) 

The stitching on everything is nicely done. Double stitching at connection points which is great because these are where the pressure/pull points are. There are no loose strings or fraying in the seams. We picked the right harness for sure, and now know where to get more if by chance we decide to get another little fur companion.

Brightly High Waisted Midi Flattering Pensil Skirt

So I am typically not a fan of skirts especially ones that are not longer than ankle length. That is the self esteem issues coming out. Add the fact that I'm not proportional equal (Yes I'm fluffy!! Height: 5'4", Weight: 220 pounds) into the equation and possibly you will understand why. I do not think that skirts are very flattering on me, or so I thought. 

I've also never worn a high waist skirt!

And what a great decision! I really love this skirt. First thing I noticed was just how soft it is. I mean this is almost like a fleece kind of soft. This skirt is made of a few materials. 65% cotton, 30% polyester, and 5% spandex. I bought this skirt in the color black and in the size 2XL. I was actually rather surprised that this skirt did not shrink since it is composed of mostly cotton. The black color did not bleed either (no one likes bleeding colors!). As far as sizing goes, well done! Sizes are true to their listing.

So onto the other fun details...
Since I ordered the color black, I have so many outfit combinations to my picking. I love that it is like that universal piece of clothing that you literally cannot go wrong wearing. It can dress up or be dressed up by any other color. I like that this skirt is not overly thick, but just thin enough to where it is breathable, and I am not sweating in the embarrassing lady parts. This pensil skirt is very form fitting. It sits nicely on my waist (measures about 44 inches). It comes to my knee caps, but does not hug them like I thought they would. Needless to say I have found a skirt that I will wear, and it is NOT floor length! I received this product as a sample to review at discounted price. Melanov Non-slip Bathtub Mat

If you are a parent to littles as I call them, then you understand the risks when they are in the tub. This is especially true when they are younger, around ages 1-3. My now 2 year old was just learning to walk around when she was 8 months old. Bath time would have been scary without a bath mat. Even now that Lucy and Creepy are 2 and 3, I still worry about them falling and hitting their heads.

I've always just bought the cheap bath mats from Walmart or other chain stores. They did their job, but not without complications. Most of them just plain out sucked. The suction cups weren't effective half the time, and it seemed like I was just wasting more money trying to find yet another crappy bath mat.

In steps the Melanov Non-slip Bathtub Mat to save my pockets! 

On top of being adorable, this bath mat has actually done its job perfectly. The suction cups are different than the other mats I have been wasting money on. They are small and abundant. The cups are all along the bottom. They actually keep a really good hold to the bathtub. It doesn't slide around either. It is a decent size measuring 27.5 inches long and 15.4 inches wide. It takes up about half of the bottom of my bathtub. That is a GREAT coverage area. Cleaning this bath mat is super easy. Mild soap and warm water goes a long way. Remember to hang this up after every use to air dry! It keeps mold from forming!

The design on this bath mat is rather adorable. My littles love it so much. They are little lovers of animals. Bath time has become a "name that animal" game. The design itself is within the bath mat so it will never fade or peel off. Along with the design is non slip grips on top. This is the extra addition that had me sold. The grips are raised up enough that they are not hard on their little fit, but just enough to make bath time safe. This mat is not slipper at all when in water! For that I am thankful and so glad we have finally found a bath mat that works for all of us. Safety first! I received this product to sample and review at a discounted price. Ozeri Frying Pan Set

Everyone needs this pan set! 

 Let's face it, I've never had the funds to actually own a nice pan set. Most of the pans I've bought were cheap ones from dollar stores and chain stores. Those are the ones that have the nasty paint on them, and smell absolutely horrid when used with high heat! 

Until this Ozeri Pan Set came along for review.......

I feel like I have the Cadillac's of all pan sets! I know that probably isn't completely true, but I haven't had something this nice. These  pans are simply amazing. I love that they are non stick. Everything I've cooked in these pans just slide right out. The pans heat and cook everything evenly as well. This set comes with three different sized pans. 

1- 8" Pan
I love this smaller pan. I like to scramble eggs in it. It's also nice to do pancakes in. I don't have to over do it with butter since nothing sticks. It just gives the edges a nice crisp. 

1- 10" Pan
I use this pan mostly for sauteing vegetables. A little bit of olive oil in the bottom goes a long way. So far I've done the usual vegetables like onions, mushrooms, garlic, and peppers. I also use this pan for my fried rice. I love that I can brown it just to perfection without it burning or sticking. 















1- 12" Pan
This pan is obviously the biggest, and its best use is for meats. I can cook meats so many different ways! I used beef tips for fajitas. They cooked quickly and evenly. When I added the seasoning and sauce, again it didn't burn or stick. I love searing meats in this pan. They get that honeycomb sear marks from the bottom of the pan.

I know I'm talking these pans up, but they're really that nice. They will stay this nice for as long as they are taken care of. Before using these pans make sure to season them. Treat them like a cast iron skillet! I just dab some oil on a paper towel and wipe them down. I also make sure to only use silicone utensils in these pans as metal or harder plastics will scuff or even damage the inside of the pan.
Cleaning them is a breeze as well. I make sure I don't use an abrasive wash pad. I use the ones that are just the sponges (no scratchy side). These even come with protectors for each pan. These protectors are meant to be placed inside when stacking other pans on top (genius!). I am completely satisfied with this pan set.
